ONE-DAY WORKSHOPS.
Learn watercolour landscape painting with Geoff Kersey at Pear Tree Farm Art Centre, near Matlock, in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales. These new, themed, One-Day Workshops for 2012 follow the same pattern as previous workshops, where you paint along with me in stages, creating a complete painting by the end of the day, that hopefully you will be proud to hang on your wall.
The price includes refreshments on arrival, morning tea/coffee, a buffet lunch, and afternoon tea/coffee. They all start at 9.30am concluding at 5.00pm and the fully inclusive price is £77 per workshop. Don’t be put off if a workshop has the same title as last year, the theme may be the same, but it will still be a totally new scene.
Winter in Chatsworth

Monday 27th February. A Coastal scene with boats.  Learn how to tackle this tricky but fascinating subject.

Tuesday 28th February. Winter in Chatsworth Park.  To my mind this is the time of year when Chatsworth Park is at its best

Monday 5th March. Paint a Lakeland scene.  Hills, mountains and water; one of my favourite areas for inspirational subjects. 

Tuesday 6th March. Paint a beach scene.  Learn how to get the right colours and tones for both sea and sand.

Wednesday 7th March. Paint a Street/Cafe scene. Tackle a scene full of light and colour, reminiscent of holidays in the sun.

Monday 12th March. Watercolour tips.  Rather than paint a complete picture, we will be exploring techniques for subjects like misty   mountains, rushing water, rocks, figures in the landscape etc.

Tuesday 13th March.  Paint a Spring scene.  Capture the essence and freshness of a spring day

Thursday 15th March. Capture the beauty of Venice.  Learn to interpret the light and colour of this inspiring location.

Friday 16th March. Paint the Derbyshire Dales. Here we paint a scene typical of the rolling hills of the Peak District.

Friday 19th October. Central Park NYC. Capture the contrast of the Skyscrapers, with the softer foreground of the trees and foliage.

Monday 29th October. Bar Harbour Maine.  I collected numerous subjects here that will make a great workshop.

Tuesday 30th October.  Winter woodland.  An atmospheric woodland snow-scene, full of light and shadows.

 Each workshop booking will require a £20 non refundable deposit,(cheque payable to Geoff Kersey Ltd).  Balance due on the day. On receipt of the booking I will send out a confirmation followed by further details, including a location map and recommended list of materials.
